Interologic was a unique startup in many ways. Its first client was a Presidential Campaign and thats no small feat to build from the ground up. I was the CTO's first hire and played a hybrid role of both Technical Program Manager and Product Manager. Being in day 1 allowed me to set up engineering with the CTO (hire developers, buy the licenses for Jira and all of our integration partners, set the process), assist in structuring the entire organization, instilling cohesion across the orgs, and design the initial product offering from scratch. Below are some of my initial whiteboards in building out a presidential campaigning analytics platform using big data to cover every citizen in the US, monitor ballot access, schedule events, manage staff/volunteers, and engage voters.
